Amanda Kwieraga

I graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Art in Studio Art. I've also earned a Master's in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine from the University of Southern California. I currently work at a biotech company in Austin, TX.

Though my life is largely consumed by science, I still enjoy doing art in my spare time (including science art, which can by found on my other website here: www.amandakwieragaart.com). I've been teaching myself how to draw in Photoshop and am continually trying to improve my skills. I'm a huge fan of almost anything fantasy and science fiction - both of which largely inspire my art and current portfolio.

I've recently started participating in Artist Alleys at various local cons, so if you're in the area, please stop by! I would love your feedback on my art and how I can continue to grow and improve in the future.

In summer of 2020 (while stuck inside due to the coronavirus pandemic), I launched my own science clothing brand - Carbon 14! This project has been something I've been wanted to do for a long time so, and I'm so excited that it has finally been realized! You can see the store at www.carbon14collections.com.

I am also the founding member of Darkwood Games, a board game company based out of Austin, TX. Our first game, Elementile, was designed by my close friend, Zach Mitchell, and was successfully crowdfunded in December 2021. We're expecting to finish manufacturing and fulfillment in November 2022. You can look up Darkwood Games at www.darkwoodgames.com or Elementile at www.playelementile.com.
